DWP Intent On Creating Own Anti-fraud Police Force

As we know the DWP are pushing a bill which will give them access to approximately nine million claimants bank accounts through parliament.

They are already pushing for additional powers of arrest, search and seizure additional to having access to bank accounts and it’s a scary thought.

If they are successful with their aims the DWP will therefore have its own anti-fraud police force. With this they could also be able to impose huge fines without going to court.

This is extremely worrying considering if they are successful they won’t have any real accountability by anyone but themselves and we know what that means.

By default the accountability given to their actions will be very low if any at all. Yes they make claimants follow their rules when they often don’t follow them themselves.

Whilst this  legislation hasn’t been given to  the DWP yet it’s vital to be aware that this could happen and to prepare for it if it happens.

Keeping good records of everything that you do and have done. Double check everything and keep everything safe.

Please note this hasn’t happened yet so don’t worry and I will be sharing more about this and what you can do as and when more information comes out.such immense powers does appear,

Please don’t panic this hasn’t happened yet and it might not go through parliament yet and I’ll keep you updated.

To be forewarned is to be forewarned.

Keep safe and warm and  love to everyone

  1. Some claimants look in their journals and see entries that weren’t there the previous time they looked, these can be for appointments on previous dates that they didn’t attend because they weren’t in the journal when they looked.

I have a friend who had this happen to him and he looks in his journal at least 6 times per day and takes screen shots every time something is new in the journal, and titles it with the date and time. He confronted the DWP and they claimed it was there before so he sent them screen shots of the day that it was supposed to be in the journal, they accused him of altering the dates to try and reflect that it wasn’t in on the date of the supposed interview at the job centre. It took him 5 months to get them to say it wasn’t in his journal and offered him £30 compensation, he wasn’t going to take it but I told him too take it and donate it if he didn’t want the money. He donated the money to the local food bank in the form of £30 of food.

  2. this is truly appalling, and if it comes about it’ll just show this country becoming even less of a democracy then it is now

on another note, and you can’t make this up, oh you can because it’s the DWP, gas anyone else seen the Guardian report that due to GDPR concerns, the DWP,who wants to access all claimants and even pensioners bank accounts, will be instructing jobcentre staff to no longer give out food bank referrals as it contains details of names, numbers in family ect! Claimants will have to get a referral from another agency, as some food banks might not accept the abbreviated form the job centre might give out. So your average single claimant in private rented, with no social workers or serious medical issues, might go hungry days longer while trying to get a doctor appointment or CAB appointment to get a voucher!!! How low can they get?

  3. with how bad the DWP is with bullying, harassment, false accusations and just looking to punish people for being on any form of benefit. i don’t think they should be trusted to tie or strap their own shoes on their own, Let alone have access to peoples banks and a whole gang of extortionists on top of that.
