Because of the raised retirement age, someone aged 60-73 is liable for Bedroom Tax, benefit sanctions and equally to all the losses of benefits to disabled and chronic sick, when half the over 60s are within the working poor.
Informs that because he is on Universal Credit (one of the few but will replace all other benefits) and his retirement age is 68, and his wife is 5 years younger than him, he is not permitted under UC to get his state pension payout til he is 73.
This when it would not cost anything for women born from 19534 and
men born from 1951 to get their state pension denied payout since 2013, as the money is sitting unused for that ring fenced part of the National Insurance Fund for the state pension since last year, 2013.
