Thanks for the info Charlotte. I could do with the payment now! (says everyone). Benefits desperately need to be increased but Truss is still reluctant to increase them in line with inflation, so that’s another cut in real terms. These one-off extra payments are proof enough that Benefits are currently inadequate. It’ll be interesting to see what Labour have to say about this debate, especially Reeves!
